[edit] Privacy Policy

  • Any content posted to pages is, of course, public information. This information, by nature, is shared with anyone who wants it. This includes user pages. All of WikiTribute is regularly indexed by Google and other search engines and content from pages is likely to end up there.
  • When users register, the only information that can be provided is real name and email address. The MediaWiki software does not reveal email addresses, but the real name field can be used in attributions. WikiTribute will never generate or share a list of user information, but it may be possible for a third party using MediaWiki special pages and existing or custom indexing software to try and gather this information.
  • Since WikiTribute does not have paid accounts, we maintain no records of credit cards or other billing information. We do not have home street addresses, social security numbers, or any other personal information and thus can not and will not share it.
  • If, in the future, we do end up with more identifying information, we will take the appropriate means to safeguard it from hackers and the public and will not under any circumstances share it.

In short and plain english, we will never intentionally share what little there is to share, but anything you post here could potentially be revealed through software fault or design.
